Silver Creek is in a rural setting. Outside the Village borders are thousands of acres of grape vines; drive less than a minute away and you'll drink in the wonderful scent of grapes; literally billions of grapes as they ripen, just in time for the annual Silver Creek Grape Festival.

Thursday night opens the festival with grape-stomping and wine drinking; then live music, dancing and a carnival follows. This event could be where you shine; getting the word out about your new B&B, passing flyers and the 'good word' about your business in the Village.

Summers here are beautiful; warm, relaxing, a quiet, private, but public beach is a three block walk from 133; the wild summer fun beaches are three miles up the road at Sunset Bay, with freshwater swimming, Lifeguards and the summer Party Bars on the Lake.

You'll get the overflow from Sunset; the more mature people who come home to visit after moving away; travelers who are just passing through, wanting a small intimate B&B just off the Thruway, as they drive from the East to West and back. Many of those people will book two stays, on their way, and again on their way back home.

Winters are very slow and quiet here. Do we get snow? You bet- white, light or heavy, we get it all; we're only an hour's drive to the ski slopes, where vacation rental prices soar; you'll have people on their way to Kissing Bridge, Ellicottville, Cockaigne; travelers from Canada and Ohio, who are willing to travel to our ski locations because they are the best around. Bemus Point has sold out all their newbuild condos, BEFORE they were built; they have access to water and to skiing. So does Silver Creek!

In summer, Chautauqua Institute fills every year; property values for nice but not extraordinary homes there are in the million dollar range; just half an hour's drive, you're in 133 Central, with accoutrements and aesthetics above and beyond some of the best at Chautauqua! The overflow from the Anthenaeum alone could fill your B&B; have a look at the pricing for a stay there; well over $300. a night.
